Founder's Story
Where function meets heart.
My first brand, Body Essentials by Abiara (BEBA), was founded in 2021 when I was 15 years old. I started when I noticed how many body butter companies were using refined ingredients, sacrificing maximum skin nutrients for product aesthetics.
Since my dad traveled to our home country Nigeria often, I asked him to bring back raw, unrefined shea butter from his next trip so I could experiment. 6 months later, BEBA was born, giving the skin what it actually deserves.
Abiara™ Skin is my way of taking that work to the next level. When I was younger, I was teased for my skin tone and ethnic features, which are the things that make me, me.
Rebuilding the brand was about more than just a good product, but about creating something authentic. Something that stands for confidence in one's own skin, so every jar isn’t just good for the skin, but it means something to it.
